How Flowers Can Help During the Pandemic

It’s been a year of living out of our homes, creating “new normals,” and let’s be honest–feeling some overwhelming emotions and stress. We often think gifting or receiving flowers deserve a special occasion, but at EverWild Florals we believe that no excuse is needed to brighten someone’s day with a beautiful bouquet. Flower delivery makes it easy to enjoy beauty and share joy as we "hunker down a little longer."

5 Ways Flowers Help During the Pandemic

    1. Flowers help to improve your mood positively

Flowers remind us of the beauty in the world.  Having flowers in your home is proven to bring calmness and positive emotions such as joy, gratitude, hope, empathy, and compassion. Studies have shown that looking at flowers in the morning also lifts your spirits and provides energy as you start the day!

    2. Flowers bring joy to the receiver and giver

Sometimes it feels just as good to give as it does to receive.  Sending a flower bouquet is a simple way to provide joy and gratitude. Do you remember the last time you sent flowers? 9 in 10 people remember the last time they gave flowers as a gift*. Flower delivery is a powerful gift that is well remembered and appreciated.

    3. Flowers help with healing

For those that are in the process of healing or are dealing with illness, receiving flowers can improve the state of mind–creating a positive impact on the body’s healing process.  Flowers stimulate the mind and move the focus away from pain and discomfort. Being around nature restores us, calms us, and gives us perspective.

    4. Flowers are stimulating for those who are younger and older

Flowers offer something to look at and something to smell. For those who are eager to learn, such as children, and those who are less stimulated, such as those who are older, flowers can provide awe and wonder. During challenging times, the strong sensory and emotional connection with flowers can relieve feelings of anxiety, depression, and agitation.

    5. Flowers represent growth, change, and hope

Anticipate the changing of seasons with fresh flowers. In the winter seasons, bringing flowers into the home offers a look-ahead to the warmer months. Having flowers in the home is the perfect daily pick-me-up when we are outside less.

In a season of unknown, you can count on EverWild Florals to deliver joy to you and your loved ones.   At EverWild Florals, our mission is to use a simple (stress-free!) process to deliver a beautiful bouquet of flowers to your Kansas City home or business.
